Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
When you scuba dive, you will be surrounded by colorful fish of every shape and description. During this club meeting, you will learn to recognize "who" you are diving with. In addition to learning the names of fishes, you will discover how they "make their living" on the reef.
After a briefing in the classroom, you will have the opportunity to identify the different fishes that we have placed in the pool. In addition, you can make a "wall dive" on our reef simulator!

What you will do . . .
- Learn to name all the types of fins found on fishes
- Learn about the different shapes of fishes
- Use a guide book to identify fish
- Tell what a fish eats by the shape of its mouth
- Search for and identify fish in the pool
- Use a slate underwater to draw pictures of fish
- Identify a "mystery fish"
- Practice towing a tired buddy back to "shore"

- A Marine Life identification card for your collection

What to bring . . .
- Mom or Dad (just to sign in and then they can leave)
- Your bathing suit and towel
- Warm, dry clothes to change into
- Your mask, defog, fins, snorkel, weight belt, weights and bag
- Your own BC, regulator and wetsuit (if you have them)
- Scuba Ranger Logbook

Club event cost is $49 and includes:
- BC, regulator and tank rental ($20 value)
- Underwater slate and pencil, waterproof fish ID book, and identification card ($26 value)
- Instruction, snacks, and totally awesome underwater fun (priceless)
