Step 1 - Your diving education begins with "Intro to Scuba". During this fun and informative, three-hour experience, you will learn about scuba equipment, your first scuba skills, the total "Learn to Scuba Dive" program, and a world of diving opportunities!

Step 2 - Our state of the art home study program will prepare you for the "Learn to Dive" course and a lifetime of diving adventure! The training materials include an informative DVD and your choice of either a printed or online training manual. You can begin even before your "Intro to Scuba". Just stop by the Aquatic center or we can send you a kit by priority mail. If you are really excited and can't wait, you can register and start using the online manual (free of charge) right now!

Step 3 - Diving is serious fun and we use a real world approach when we teach you to dive! Your instructor will review the material that you studied at home and introduce diving procedures in the pool. We will build and expand on the skills that you learned during "Intro to Scuba" and will have plenty of time to practice your new skills in the clear, warm, 86º water. You can Complete Step 3 during a group, weekend class or on a custom schedule designed just for you. Group class dates and times are posted on our Calendar Page.

Step 4 - The final step in your learn to dive course is to complete certification dives. You will dive on two days with an instructor and make at least 5 scuba dives as you put into practice all of your new skills. You can complete your training at a local dive site in Athens, TN or join one of our many trips to exciting destinations. We can also arrange for you to complete your training by referral to another instructor almost anywhere in the world!
