Regulator Service Description

Regulators are completely disassembled and placed in an ultrasonic cleaner. The parts provided in OEM replacement service kits are installed and the old parts are discarded. This typically includes the filter, valve seats, and dynamic o-rings. Static o-rings are inspected and replaced based on manufacturer guidelines. SPG spools are replaced if a leak is observed. The regulators are reassembled, tuned, analyzed on our flow bench, and adjusted until the pressures, flow rates, and inhalation effort test within manufacturer specifications.

Buoyancy Compensator Service Description

Buoyancy compensator inflator valves are dissassembled, cleaned, OEM parts are installed, and they are reassembled and tested. BC straps and buckles are inspected. BC dump valves and overpressure valves are inspected, serviced as required, and a comprehensive leak test is performed.

Warranty Replacement Parts Policy

Equipment may be eligible for free OEM replacement parts if you have maintained your regulator in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty service guidelines. This generally means that the equipment must have been serviced every 12 months (24 months for some Aqualung products) since its purchase. To be eligible, you must be the original owner. If you purchased your regulator at Choo Choo Diving & Aquatic Center, and have had the service performed at our facility, we will gladly search our records in order to validate the warranty. If you purchased your regulator at, or had it serviced by another facility, you must provide documentation of warranty service. We can not provide you with free warranty parts unless the manufacturer will reimburse us. If your regulator is not covered by a valid parts replacement warranty, in most instances, we can still repair it but you will be charged for the parts kits.

Service Completion Schedule

In most instances, warranty service will be completed within 14 days of the date that equipment is checked in for service. Non-warranty service and regulator systems over 10 years of age may require additional time if parts are not in stock. Expedited service is available if needed.
