Underwater Navigation Course

Location: Loch Lowe Minn Quarry

Take the shortest route to the dive site, and more importantly, find your way back to the boat! The ability to use a compass underwater will give you the confidence needed to leave the anchor line and see more of the reef.

Know that, at any point during a quarry or beach dive, you could head straight for the entry point. Conserve your air and dive more.

This fun, informative course will have you using a compass with confidence in just one day!

• How to properly orient your compass while diving
• Use a compass to swim a reciprocal (out & back) course
• How to dive as a member of a navigation team
• Navigate a square pattern
• Use the compass to see more of the divesite on each dive
